New Sigma 17-70
Just got the latest Sigma 17-70 Macro lens. Its not EX series but it has got f2.8-4.5 and great macro ability .
AF is a bit slow but not such that it interfered with the way i shoot. Sound…….i never bothered much by AF sound so …neither did this
Anyway, as soon as i got the lens, a holiday trip was coming up so,,,, the best opportunity to test out a lens
Basically very satisfied with the lens AF and sharpness.
Color and contrast is good, love the close-up macro mode. Great value and versatile.
17-70 which translate to 27-112mm with the Canon 300D. This is the range that i use the most
This shot at 17mmf2.8 with the lens touching the battery pack

Hey Tommy,
Looks like you found a good lens. Where was “Jetty Sunset” taken?
